Explore your coverage options

Vision Insurance

Understand benefits for routine eye exams, prescription glasses, and contact lenses.

Compare provider networks, eyewear allowances, lens upgrade costs, and how often benefits are available.

Routine vision benefits differ from medical coverage for eye conditions.

Dental Insurance

Review benefits for preventive care and dental treatment.

Compare dentist networks, deductibles, annual benefit limits, and any waiting periods before choosing coverage.

Benefits for crowns, dentures, implants, and other procedures vary by product.

Hearing Coverage

Understand options for hearing exams, hearing aids, and related services.

Compare participating providers, eligible devices, patient costs, and included fitting or follow-up care.

Hearing assistance may be an insurance benefit, an allowance, or a discount arrangement.

What should you compare before choosing?

Start with the services you expect to use and the providers you prefer.

Existing benefits

Do I already have protection for this need?

Provider access

Does my preferred office participate in this specific product?

Eligible services

Are the treatment, eyewear, or devices I expect to use included?

Patient costs

What deductibles, copayments, or additional charges apply?

Benefit limits

How much does the product contribute, and how often?

Timing

When do benefits begin? Are there waiting periods?

Contract terms

What renewal, commitment, and cancellation rules apply?

A benefit maximum or allowance generally limits the product's contribution. It does not necessarily limit your total spending.

Is a discount program insurance?

No. A discount program offers specified prices through participating providers. It does not pay covered claims like an insurance policy.

Check the coverage you already have

You may have dental, vision, or hearing benefits through an employer, retirement arrangement, Medicare Advantage plan, or another program.

Review those benefits before adding another premium.

What about Original Medicare?

Original Medicare generally does not cover routine dental care, routine eye exams for glasses or contacts, or hearing aids and hearing-aid fitting exams.

Certain medical services and specific exceptions may be covered. Routine benefits and medical treatment should be checked separately. medicare.gov

Some Medicare Advantage plans include dental, vision, or hearing benefits. Compare their providers, covered services, costs, and limits before purchasing additional coverage. medicare.gov

Looking for Medicare Supplement insurance?

Medicare Supplement Insurance, also called Medigap, is a different product category. It works with Original Medicare to help pay specified out-of-pocket costs.
